movie review: it's a heartache

I am not a fond of watching movies but when my friends tells about the story of miracle in cell no. 7 I became interested to watch this movie. It is a heartwarming movie and very fantastic and even you are a hard-hearted person, this will surely break your heart into pieces.

This movie came from Korea and a combination of comedy and drama. It is about a father and daughter story that experienced hardship in life. Le Yong-Gu is the father who is mentally handicapped and accused of raped and murder to a child of a police prosecutor. He is falsely accused of that murder and the prosecutor take advantage its incapability. He imprisoned and sentenced to jail by not committing the murder. He is different in all the prisoners because they are all normal.  But even he is mentally handicapped he can able to help others. One time, he helped the leader of the jail and granted him a wish. He wants to see his 6 years old daughter Ye-Sung. Other prisoners helped to see his daughter and hide from the cops while Ye-sung is inside the jail with his father.

Lee Yong-Gu and Ye-sung

All prisoners don’t believe that Le Yong-Gu is a killer and a murderer. They studied his case and ask him one by one what happened. They help him save himself and memories all the lines he will say in front of the court justice. But then, before going to the court room the police prosecutor talk to him that if he does not admit the crime he will kill his daughter Ye-sung. And, when Le Yong-Gu is in front of the court room and the judge ask if he really killed the child he said “yes”. All are shocked specially his friends in prison. Because of that Le yong-Gu is sentenced to death.

Ye-Sung daughter of Lee Yong-Go witnessed all. She studied hard to become a lawyer to prove that they wrongfully killed his innocent father. She wants to prove to the judge that her father is innocent from that murder happened many years ago but they sentenced to a lethal injection.

The story shows SOCIAL INJUSTICE which is truly happening around the world. As long as you have the money and power you can manipulate everything. In the movie “Miracle in cell no.7” is the best example of social injustice. How a police prosecutor manipulate everything just to give justice to her daughter who was only slipped in the ice and died painfully. And, the mentally handicapped Le Yong-Gu was there in the incident and the only intention is to help and wanted the child to survive.
