  Why I love OPM???

"Songs are emotions expressed in such a way that only a soul understands"


         Silent sanctuary is a local band that catches my attention every time i heard their songs. Most of their songs is a about a heart broken person that if you feel pain and heartache then listen to their songs and it will reminds you of someone and the moments you've shared once. Their song is full of emotion that i really like.


The band is composed of 5 members:
Raymund "Sarkie" Sarangay- lead vocals, guitars
Anjo Inacay- cello
Chino David- violin, backing vocals
Jason Randero- bass guitar, backing vocals
Allen Calixto- drums.
     I thought it's an all in one package band because when you combine their voices and instruments it creates a very calm and full of emotion songs. 
  
     This band is my favorite OPM (Original Pinoy Music).Although others doesn't like local bands because there are lots of international bands which are good singers and good looking. This band hook my taste in music. I became a fan of this band 2 years ago, though i am not a music lover but then every time i was alone or in my way going to school I'll get my phone and play their songs. Most songs in my play lists are their creation because it makes me feel better listening to them. I thought their songs are written for me because of its meaning. When i listen to their songs it reminds me of someone and i reminisce the memories we had before. my favorite song of silent sanctuary was entitled "Paalam na and Kundiman". Here is the intro of the song "Paalam na":

"Paalam sa ating pag-ibig na minsa'y pinag- isa, paalam na sa mga pangakong di na mabubuhay pa. Kung may bago ka ng mamahalin wag kang mag alala ako'y masasanay din parang kahapon lang tayo'y magkasama naging isa na siyang alaala, mula ngayon araw-araw ng mananalangin na sana'y lagi kang masaya." 


         It's a mono dramatic band, all of their songs are love song and most of it are written in "tagalog". I thought their listeners are all suffering in a heart problem because if you will listen to their songs it is a about a broken hearted person. If you are lonely you will really relate on their songs.The voice of their lead vocalist is very calm which is good to the ear when you want to relax. There songs are mono dramatic based on it's lyrics and will surely reminds you of someone who became part of your life. 

      I love OPM (Original pinoy music)because of this band. Their songs are easy to understand because it is written in tagalog and also we should idolized the songs of our fellow Filipino's. Silent sanctuary songs can relate everyone of us, they can hook the taste of their listeners not only to the voice of the lead vocalist but also to the meaning of it's lyrics. it is true that you understand the song when you are lonely and also "it's not the song that makes you emotional, its the people and the things that come to your mind when you hear it."
